The Roots project is an architectural endeavor Located in the heart of the mountain of the north of lebanon. It involves the renovation of a traditional Lebanese house, preserving its stone façade, traditional arches, and windows. The house is seamlessly connected to a new external majlis on the ground floor and a guest house on the roof. Additionally, we have added a pool house with a swimming pool adjacent to the Lebanese house, providing access to a multi-sports court. At the project’s entrance, we have constructed a gatehouse with a significant oriental influence, which includes accommodations for two janitors. Finally, a service house is situated at the far end of the property, housing all the technical and service areas.

We named this project “The Roots” because it is designed for five families, with the parents deeply connected to the region and committed to preserving the traditional Lebanese architectural heritage. This project reflects their desire to maintain the cultural essence while creating a space that honors their roots.
